Ubisoft will join the Star Wars gaming family at some point in the future, too, as the publisher is still toiling away on its mysterious open-world Star Wars video game. One project will be a first-person shooter set in a galaxy far, far away, while the others will be a strategy title and a sequel to Fallen Order. Aside from Respawn Entertainment’s massively successful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, EA recently revealed plans to create three more games with the same developer. Though Star Wars: 1313 never saw the light of day, Star Wars gaming content rages on. As more clear looks at the project have trickled to the public, fans can only wonder what could have been. Only the occasional bit and piece of the game has leaked to the internet since then. However, shortly after Disney’s Lucasfilm purchase in 2013, the company decided to almost completely shutter LucasArts, effectively shelving Star Wars: 1313. Written by Kyle Campbell on behalf of GLHF.Star Wars: 1313 was in the works at LucasArts as a grittier third-person take on Lucasfilm’s sci-fi universe. As for the story, it would have involved Fett searching for bounties while working for Jabba the Hutt, going through 1313 and the mysterious 1314. STAR WARS 1313 SERIES
There are massive Uncharted vibes here, which makes sense given Star Wars 1313 was going to come out when that series was at its peak. In the video, we can see bounty hunter Boba Fett leaping across Coruscant’s rooftops in pursuit of his quarry. The Vault, a YouTube channel dedicated to Battlefront content, recently shared alleged gameplay footage of the (regrettably) canceled Star Wars 1313. Few video game cancellations have hurt as Star Wars 1313’s did, but at least we can finally see what it looked like in motion.
